collection
my goal as an electric pokemon trainer is to have some little thing to represent every member of the electric family. my goal is at least two of each pokemon:
the TOMY figure
the POKEMON KIDS finger puppet figure
a plush doll (if a quality one was made)

RAICHU
raichu. an amazing pokemon. a beautiful pokemon. i love raichu, my favourite pokemon ever. i've been collecting raichu toys since 1998 and if there is a cute raichu on the shelf when i am 90 years old i will probably snag it. the silliest thing in this photo is the big raichu to the right, he is remote controlled, stabs with his tail, and charges at any opponent (in this case, an angry pikachu pictured below). the thick-tailed raichu to the right of the box-topper card shoots lighting bolts from his tail. and that is a large card, don't compare sizes thinking it is a regular sized card! the newest member to the family is the silly plushie on the left of the card. he is an original from 1995! i got the big dice in the middle at a japanese denny's. it has pachirisu, pikachu, pichu, elekible, raichu, and dialga, who is my favourite non-electric legendary. half my collection (the non-japanese merchandise) is currently stuck in america. but i am going to america soon to bring it back home to japan. what a reunion this will be!

PIKACHU AND PICHU
yes, the popular pokes, well, i treat them not as celebrities, but as regular pokemon. my favourite kind of pikachu is angry pikachu, and its hard to see with my crappy photos, but both those pikachu standing smack dab in front of the card? are very angry. the big remote control pikachu is MOST pissed. his attack is to... well.... he humps. and humps. and humps. not as bad as the pikachu i had in high school that was recalled because it ended up saying "pikachupikachupikayoufuckayoufuckayoufuckyoufuckyou". did you catch the slight change in what he says? i think my mom threw it out. mommy :< why.
the huuuuuge card was some kind of movie promo. its cute. where the attack would go it says "let's play together" instead.
my goal with such a popular pokemon is to collect things most people DON'T have or CAN'T find. so i am waiting to find the perfect plush. and more angry pikachu (more rare than you might think!)

ELEKID, ELECTABUZZ, AND ELEKIBLE
they just keep adding more electa's to the family... at first i thought elekible was ugly, but now i feel the love, especially because i just got mine last weekend at the pokemon center, and i also feel the plushie vibe.
like raichu i have some elekid stuff in america. it'll be added soon.
did they ever make an electabuzz plush or what? huh? who? where? electabuzz?
what a nice little family they make. they are kinda the mascots of the electric type, being the only ones not based on an animal, but... electrical plugs and sockets. and electabuzz i always thought of as an electric space alien...

PLUSLE ANDMINUN
again... they are popular. starred in a movie and a short. very popular. adorable as all hell. how come all electric mice are popular except raichu? geez.
well, here they are, plusle and minun. i have sexual feelings for toys that have portrayed electric sparks, and so the battling plusle and minun and plusle-i-choose-you toys really get me tingling. the plushies are plusle and minun at the summer matsuri (festival), and very soft and cuddly and they are also very hard to find plushies of very popular characters... yay!

JOLTEON
the BEST eevee evolution. ever. come on, wasn't jolteon one of your favourite electrics from the original game? remember evolving eevee into this spiky little pup? here is some trivia: what makes jolteon different from every other eevee evolution? answer... he has no tail. really! his little butt just ends in lots of spikey spikes. amazing, isn't it?
when i heard there was a jolteon pokedoll in america i was on ebay faster than a smart pikachu on a thunderstone. this is a simple, perfect collection to me. three different jolteon. normal, chibi, and superchibi. i love you, spike pup :>

ELECTRIKE AND MANECTRIC
electric sparks!! tingling feeling is back!! i fell deeply in love with both of these strapping young lads the moment i laid eyes on them. it was actually the manectric battle figure that helped inspire me to start collecting electric pokemon other than just raichu. i also think manectric is the perfect boyfriend for rentoraa, the new diamond/pearl electric lion. seriously. electric wolf and electric lion. COME ON PEOPLE. use your imagination. or not.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!!! its ampharos, the evolution that makes no
sense!
does flafffy lose all of her wool and ampharos is the bald final
evolution?
anyway,
i just recently got this ampharos plush, and he is amazing, soft, and
TALL.
and his little mareep friend is so tiny and wooly and adorable!!! a
shame
i don't think they ever made a flaaffy plush.... :<

RAIKOU
raikou, one of the harder legendaries to collect. the TOMY figure is easy enough to find and i got the other plastic figure a long time ago, but the plushie was won in an auction where i ended up spending probably 4 times what he originally sold for, and the 100 yen (90 cent) POKEMON KIDS finger puppet has been selling recently for 4000 yen (35 dollars). thats a 40x price hike... jeez. but i love him and should include in this photo the three part mini movie RAIKOU, LEGEND OF THUNDER, of which i own an OLD japanese VHS... any electric pokemon trainer must see this movie, it is amazing and wonderful and has mareeps and a brave raichu and of course... raikou!!!

ZAPDOS
the best i have saved for almost last. my favourite legendary pokemon, hands down, no question, i love zapdos. i love him in the game, in the anime, i love him. he's like a chicken that stuck its beak into an electric socket. my zapdos are special, we call them the limp-dick zapdos'. well, why we say limp-dick i don't know, because it's the beaks that are deformed. plushie zapdos (FAVOURITE PLUSHIE EVER) has a beak with a right-tilt, big-ass action figure zapdos' beak is, well, limp. it droops. limply. therefore my special zapdos collection, the limp dick zapdos', has been shared with the world.

these pokemon are loved by all, but i guess not enough to have awesome plush or tons of merchandise. i know there is an electrode plushie out there but... i don't know, i like electrode, but his merchandise is a little redundant. still i might jump on it if i saw it. for now i feel satisfied with the TOMY and PK figures. why is there no lanturn or chinchou plushie, why? so upsetting. they are so plushifiable.
and pachirisu is brand new AND in the theme song for the new season of the anime AND is about to... HIGHLIGHT FOR SPOILER?!
become a pokemon of one of the main characters... (according to an episode title, I GOT A PACHIRISU! coming up in february... when i won't be in japan... ripping my hair out now...).
so i anticipate TONS OF MERCHANDISE, especially a plushie, i mean, he is another electric rodent, and even the water mouse has plushies, NO ELECTRIC RODENT HAS NOT HAD A PLUSHE YET AND PACHIRISU WILL HAVE A PLUSHIE I TELL YOU!
